Congressional Black Caucus Initiative

The Austin Health Center of Cook County is conveniently located on the corner of Chicago % Cicero
Avenues. The clinic is one of several in the Cook County Bureau of Health Services' Ambulatory and
Community Health Network. This clinic offers a wide range of medical services, including Internal
Medicine, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics.

The Congressional Black Caucus HIV Initiative Clinic (CBC) started in June of 1999 in response to the lack
of discreet HIV primary care services on the Westside, where HIV prevalence is the highest in Chicago.

In addition to high quality, discreet HIV Primary Care, the CBC Project also provides Case management;
Individual, Group and Family Counseling Services, and Psychiatrist, Pharmacist, and Nutritionist. These
services are free to all eligible clients and are provided regardless of ability to pay.
