Ex-offenders usually leave prison to return to communities that offer little support or opportunity. Without a network of people committed to one’s rehabilitation and success, the risk of recidivism is high. The Overcomers support group is an effort of WHA’s Community Re-Entry initiative that offers care and guidance to those who are rebuilding their lives after incarceration. The group proves the powerful role community can play in lifting up individuals who want to change.
