Last week leaders from WHA’s Youth Working For Success initiative joined other young Chicago residents to gain professional development training and advice for taking charge of their future.

Workshops taught skills such as resume-building, preparing and responding for interviews, and financial literacy. Organizations such as First Defense Legal Aid, TRiO and Public Allies also informed participants of other services and opportunities. Thanks to the numerous guests, Austin youth learned more about protecting their rights, identified routes to college, and met with potential employers.
